A native North Texan, Mr. Thompson’s legal career began in criminal defense, assisting clients on matters ranging from low-level misdemeanors to first-degree felonies. Mr. Thompson brings with him the enthusiasm and commitment he demonstrated representing clients in the criminal courtroom to the civil and business landscapes.
He has advised both individuals and businesses on various transactional matters, including the review and drafting of master service agreements, SaaS Agreements, leases, promissory notes, purchase and sale agreements, non-competition agreements, bills of sale, terms and conditions, and privacy policies. Additionally, he has handled a wide variety of litigation matters, including, commercial landlord-tenant claims, prosecution and defense of first- and third-party insurance claims, prosecution and defense of construction claims, debt collection litigation, prosecution and defense of DTPA claims, defense of wrongful death claims, prosecution and defense of premises liability cases, real property litigation, SAPCRs, probate litigation, and adoption cases.
In his estate planning practice, Mr. Thompson assists individuals and families in identifying their distribution goals and assessing their financial circumstances in order to create an estate planning strategy tailored to accomplish those goals. Mr. Thompson’s probate practice consists of assisting clients with estate administration as well as trust administration, including fiduciary and beneficiary representation.
