- Led the acquisition of multiple interstate saltwater disposal wells and related assets on behalf of a publicly traded energy company.
- Served as lead drafter on the corporate restructuring of an international oil and gas producer to facilitate a multimillion-dollar recapitalization and completion of a key overseas well.
- Navigated trial of a nearly $2 million commercial dispute, resolving the case with no out-of-pocket payment by the client and avoiding bankruptcy exposure.
- Regularly prepares, negotiates, and advises on master service agreements (MSAs) between field operators, contractors, and vendors in the oilfield services industry.
- In addition to his law-firm practice, Tristan acts in a general-counsel capacity for both public and private energy companies, advising on day-to-day operations, employment issues, risk management, and dispute strategy.
